Why Are Shows Great For Your Child’s Development?

The show did go on!

We waited a long time to see our students shine on stage again and it was worth the wait! Every single student rose to the occasion and shone so bright.

The annual show gives students a chance to demonstrate what they learn each week in classes and shows off the whole Razzamataz curriculum which features traditional Musical Theatre, pop singing, commercial dance and acting. The experience of performing is something that helps students to become more confident and teaches them the art of communication.

Face your fears

Taking part in a show gives children the opportunity to face an audience, speak in front of them, show them their dance skills and maybe sing a song or two. When this is done within the supportive environment of a Razzamataz show, the children will feel the love and encouragement of an audience.

Embrace responsibility

During the rehearsal period, children learn to be prepared with learning their lines and dance steps. They don’t want to be the only one who doesn’t know their part and let the side down, so they learn to become part of the team and help each other when needed.

Find your tribe
Being part of a show gives children an outlet to be loud and energetic and meet others who share their outlook on life.

Education boost

Being part of a show also helps children perform better at school. The arts are vital for developing the brain and reading scripts and learning lines, are fundamental in improving reading and language.

Build your confidence

At Razzamataz, our students tell us how much performing in shows has meant to them growing up. It has improved their confidence, given them belief in themselves and enabled them to go for their dreams in many different areas of their life.

Hear from our Parents
“I can’t thank you all enough for the support, encouragement and love that you have shown Daisy over the last couple of months.  The build up to the show was extremely difficult for her, which in turn must have made it quite difficult for you guys trying to finalise and perfect everything! Thank you so much for looking after her and helping her overcome her biggest fears. The show was amazing- we loved seeing all the kids shine-  but I will never forget the sight of the Two Daisies on stage, with my Daisy looking up to your Daisy for reassurance and your Daisy looking back at my Daisy with such encouragement – both with the biggest smiles ever!! Thank you all so much!”
