Razzamataz are thrilled to be hosting a day of workshops with some of the industry’s leading professionals and performers! Sunday 28th June should have been their annual show case at Sheffield City Hall but unfortunately 2020 had other things in store for us. To still make the day special they have got a top line up of professional performers to work with their students.

They will be welcoming not one, not two but three West End stars to their Virtual Studio including the renowned Layton Williams who has taken the performing world by storm with his performance of Everybody’s Talking about Jamie. Below is more information on the amazing artists Razzamataz will be welcoming one week today.

Layton Williams – Everybody’s Talking About Jamie – Workshop for ages 12-18

Layton was born in Bury, Manchester and he began his career at the age of 12 playing the title role of Billy in the West End production of Billy Elliot. He made his debut TV appearance as Kylie in the BBC comedy Beautiful People. He went on to train at Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts which was documented on CBBC’s School For Stars.

Theatre includes: Everybody’s Talking About Jamie (Apollo Theatre), Paul in Kiss Me Kate (Sheffield Crucible); Seaweed in Hairspray! (2018 UK Tour); Angel in Rent (London/UK Tour); The Car Man (Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures); Simon in The Lord of the Flies (Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures) and Young Michael in Thriller Live (West End).

TV/Film includes: Rocketman (Paramount); Larry in Benidorm (ITV). Layton played series regular ‘Stephen’ in the BBC Comedy Bad Education series and feature film.

He is currently playing Jamie in the ‘Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’ UK Tour.

Megan Louch – Mamma Mia – Workshop for ages 9-11

Megan trained at Laine Theatre Arts & Middlesex University gaining a First Class Honours. Her theatre credits include Dance Captain/swing on The Bodyguard musical (European Tour), Dance Captain/swing on Club Tropicana Musical (original UK Tour), Snow White (London Palladium), Guys and Dolls (Kilworth House), Annie (Piccadilly Theatre, London), Penny in Dirty Dancing (Cannes Film Festival theatre & Musical Theater, Bremen),

Ensemble/cover Penny & Lisa in Dirty Dancing (Phoenix Theatre, London & UK Tour), Annie (UK Tour), Mamma Mia! (International Tour), 42nd Street Gala (London Palladium), Ivanka/cover Elaine in Loserville (Garrick Theatre, London & West Yorkshire Playhouse), Aladdin & Snow White (Qdos Pantomimes Ltd).

Other credits include: Loserville in concert (Garrick Theatre, London), West End bares (Novello Theatre, London), 42nd Street Gala (London Palladium), BBC Christmas Lectures, The Alan Titchmarsh Show (ITV), FA Cup final (Wembley Stadium), KBS Korea, Radio Times Hong Kong, TV commercials for The Trafford Centre (Manchester) and Marks & Spencers.

Katrina Dix – Charlie and the Chocolate Factory – Workshop for ages 6-8

Katrina trained at London Studio Centre BA (Hons) where she graduated winning the Merrifield Award for outstanding all-round performance.

Theatre includes: Ensemble, dance captain and cover Mrs. Wormwood & Mrs. Phelps in Matilda (International Tour), ensemble in The Producers (International Tour), ensemble and assistant dance captain in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Theatre Royal, Drury Lane),

Ensemble, resident director and cover Louise, Clara & Subway Ghost in Ghost (English Theatre Frankfurt), ensemble and Heavenly Friend in Carousel (Arcola Theatre), assistant choreographer for How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and Bernie Buchsbaum in Little Me (Ye Olde Rose & Crown Theatre), ensemble and cover Jasmine in Aladdin (Qdos Entertainment) and ensemble in Cinderella (First Family Entertainment).

Television and Film includes: The Nations Best Dance Moment (ITV Television), Most Sincerely (BBC 4), Victor Frankenstein (Fox Productions) and The Legacy (Universal Pictures).
