Razzamataz Sheffield are proud to announce that the Guest Judge for this years’ Stage Scholarship is ……. Shekinah Mcfarlane!
Shekinah joined us back in October 2020 to deliver and incredible six workshop to our Seniors. She worked students incredibly hard and gave them a real taster of what it is like to work on the show.
About Shekinah
Shekinah has been performing professionally since an early age. From Training in Leicestershire and London to New York She has been able to progress into the industry in such shows as RENT, Seussical the Musical, Godspell, Original Cast recording of Paradise Lost, Parade, HAIR MCR&LDN, Lion King UK and International Tour and TOMMY UK Tour. MYTH, a semi staged production to earth the story written by Sam Cassidy and directed by Arlene Phillips.
With an eclectic CV Shekinah has starred as a rock chick in American Idiot, to currently playing queen Anna of Cleves in SIX the Musical, after a stint as an alternate in the West End she now plays the principal role on the UK Tour, and will be reprising the role on the upcoming shows return. With new music and collaborations in the pipeline, creation continues After Hosting workshops up and down the UK she leaves a trail of creativity, inspiration and nothing short of a positive vibe.
What is the Stage Scholarship?

The Stage Scholarship is a unique opportunity for children and young people age 6-18 to win a year’s free tuition at Razzamataz Theatre Schools Sheffield. Razzamataz has created an audition system where students and young people in the local area film a short demo of no more than two minutes long showing them performing a musical theatre song and dance, commercial or street dance, pop song, drama improvisation or scripted drama piece. The demo does not have to be professionally filmed. Applicants will also complete a short application form detailing why they would like to take this opportunity. The auditions are open to current Razzamataz students and those not in the school but living in the local area.

       ⭐ A Musical Theatre song and dance

       ⭐ A Commercial Dance (hip hop or street)

       ⭐ A Pop Song

       ⭐ Drama Improvisation

       ⭐ Monologue
