Back To School And Back To Confidence With Razzamataz

Back to school and back to confidence with Razzamataz

As we start to prepare our teachers and team for settling current students and welcoming new recruits to our school after the summer holidays, we reflect on how much Razzamataz Theatre Schools has helped countless young people.

Although there have been numerous articles written about the impact on the pandemic on children, we have seen first-hand how it has affected young people who have never previously suffered with anxiety.

#MoreThanJustATheatreSchool is the hashtag attached to Razzamataz Theatre Schools because of the feedback from students and families on the positive impact that Razzamataz has on each child. When children return after the summer break, the Razzamataz team will be working on helping children to reconnect, make up for lost time during the pandemic and bringing back those important life skills.
Why theatre school is important
  • Research has found that children participating in creative activities were happier than children who did not.
  • Performing arts helps young people to think outside the box.
  • Confidence gained from the arts can be applied to all parts of life.
  • Einstein said: “Imagination is more important than knowledge.”
  • Being creative helps young people think of better ideas.
  • Understanding characters in plays teaches empathy, compassion and tolerance.
  • Theatre performances requires students to work together as a team.
  • Performing arts improves overall communication skills.
  • Razzamataz offers an emotional outlet for students.
  • Dance, drama and singing requires a good level of fitness.
  • Weekly classes and show rehearsals really test those memory skills.

Hear from our parents:

“My daughter joined Razzamataz about two years ago and despite not knowing anyone she came out of her first lesson beaming and said to me ‘I can’t believe how nice the teachers are and I had so much fun!’. Since then she’s gone from strength to strength and her confidence has grown massively which has been so lovely to see. The team are really welcoming and the communication with the parents is top notch. My daughter really looks forward to the sessions and I’d certainly recommend to any parent looking for a school where the children are encouraged, nurtured and celebrated.”
Parent of Razzamataz Inter, age 9.
